Vidrys for Wix

Vidrys's app for Wix makes the fixes you approve on your Wix site — no tokens to copy. It writes to each page's, product's and blog post's own SEO settings in Wix, where you can still see and edit them.

SEO → Connections → Vidrys for Wix

Installing and connecting

  1. Open SEO → Connections and press Connect Wix. Wix opens: sign in if it asks, choose your site and approve what the app may do — manage your SEO settings, and read your store's products and your blog's posts to find which page is which.

  2. Wix brings you back to Vidrys, connected. Your site must be published, and its address must be the project's website; if Vidrys says it isn't, switch to the project for that site (top right) and connect again.

  3. Installed the app from the Wix App Market instead? Open it from your Wix dashboard — it lands on the same page — and press Connect.

What it does

WhatWhere
SEO title and meta descriptionPages, store products and blog posts.
CanonicalPages, store products and blog posts — corrected where the audit found it relative, over http or pointing at a redirect.
Let search engines index this pageTurned back on where a page in your sitemap is hidden — when the page's own setting hides it. A page hidden by Wix's setting for every page of its kind, or for the whole site, is yours to change in Wix's SEO settings.
Social share (Open Graph) tagsWhere a page has none.
Your organisation's structured dataOn the home page, where the audit found none.

Every change is one a person approved, or set to apply without review. A change to a page is published with it, so it shows on your live site straight away; products and blog posts have no draft. Each is checked on your live site afterwards and can be rolled back from Vidrys: where the page took that value from Wix's own settings before, rolling back lets it do so again.

Unpublished changes in the Wix editor

Wix keeps a draft of each page next to the published one. If a page has SEO changes in the editor that you haven't published, Vidrys won't publish a fix on it — that would put your unpublished changes live too. The fix says so: publish your site in Wix (or undo those changes), then approve it again.

›What if I remove the app?

Its connection to Vidrys ends. What it wrote into your pages' SEO settings stays there, as if you'd typed it; roll fixes back in Vidrys first if you want them gone.

›My site has more than one language

Wix lets apps write SEO settings for your site's main language only, so fixes are made on those pages; the others' steps are in the Fixes list.

›Can it change image alt text, links or redirects?

Not yet: the Fixes list gives the steps in Wix for those.
