Vidrys SEO for WordPress
A free WordPress plugin that makes the fixes you approve in Vidrys on your site — no code, no keys to copy. It writes titles and descriptions into the SEO plugin you already use, serves redirects and the fixes no page field holds, publishes the pages you write, and checks your site's speed.

SEO → Connections → Vidrys SEO for WordPress
Installing and connecting
In your WordPress dashboard, open Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for “Vidrys SEO”, then install and activate it.
Open Settings → Vidrys SEO and press
Connect to Vidrys.Sign in to Vidrys if asked, check the project is the one for this site, and press
Connect. You're sent back to WordPress, connected. The site must be the project's own website.
Nothing is copied by hand: Vidrys gives the site a one-time code, which it swaps — server to server — for the secret every delivery is signed with. A delivery that isn't signed with it, or is more than five minutes old, is refused. Fixes are sent only to a site on https.
What it does
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, noindex, Open Graph tags | Written into Rank Math, Yoast SEO, All in One SEO or SEOPress — whichever you use — so it shows them and they stay if you remove Vidrys. Without one, the plugin prints them in the page head itself. |
| Redirects | Served before WordPress looks for the page, permanent (301), only to pages on your own site. |
| Alt text | On the image in the media library, and on the image as the post's own text writes it. |
| Links | Changed in the post's own text; in menus, widgets and templates, re-pointed as each page is served. |
| Page edits | Headings, link words, subheadings and paragraphs added, links to your other pages — saved in the post's own text where they are there, as an edit in the editor would be (blocks stay blocks), and made as the page is served where the theme or a page builder such as Elementor or Divi prints the text. See Page edits. |
| Fixes made as pages are served | An HSTS header, the page language, one title, description and canonical per page, a 301 for a meta refresh, a real 404, the sitemap in robots.txt, your organisation's structured data and hreflang links back — see Fixes. |
| Pages you write in Vidrys | Published, or saved as drafts. Changes Vidrys can't make itself are listed under Settings → Vidrys SEO as change requests. |
| AI visibility's fixes | Delivered the same way — a page's text, llms.txt, robots.txt groups, the home page's structured data. AI visibility decides them; the plugin only delivers. |
Every change is one a person approved in Vidrys, or set to apply without review. Each is checked on your live page afterwards, can be rolled back from Vidrys, and is listed under Settings → Vidrys SEO with when it happened.
Previewing a fix on your site
In a fix's review, Preview on your site opens the page with the change on it — your edit included — and a bar saying only you can see it. It works for an hour, only for someone logged in to this WordPress site who can manage it; anyone else opening the same link sees the page as it is, and the preview is never cached.
Pausing it
Pause Vidrys's changes — on the plugin's card under SEO → Connections, or under Settings → Vidrys SEO — stops everything at once: Vidrys can change nothing, and the redirects and served fixes stop (lines it added to a robots.txt file are taken out). What was written into your SEO plugin stays. Resume puts it all back.
The speed check
Under Settings → Vidrys SEO, Check speed shows your Core Web Vitals as Vidrys's latest audit measured them on phones, whether your home page comes from a cache, the caching plugin that suits your host — LiteSpeed Cache on a LiteSpeed server, for one — and, for the caching plugin you have, whether its page cache, lazy-loading of images and the like are on, with where to switch each on. Vidrys SEO doesn't cache pages itself.
›My robots.txt is a file on the server
WordPress only serves its own robots.txt where there's no file. Where there is one, the plugin writes its lines into the file between # BEGIN Vidrys SEO and # END Vidrys SEO, and takes them out on rollback, pause or deactivation. If the file can't be written, the fix says so.
›It says Rank Math isn't adding anything to my pages
Rank Math prints nothing until its setup wizard is finished or skipped (Rank Math → Dashboard → Setup Wizard). Until then a change written into Rank Math wouldn't show, so the plugin refuses it and says why.
›What if I deactivate or delete it?
What was written into your SEO plugin stays. Redirects, link changes and served fixes stop. Deleting the plugin also removes its settings and log.
›Does it slow my site down?
Redirects are checked against a short list once per request, and a page is read as it's served only when a fix needs it. If anything goes wrong there, the page is served exactly as it would have been without the plugin.
